At the half, the Minnesota Gopher Football team leads the Western Illinois Leathernecks by one point.  The lone Gopher touchdown came Rodrick Williams Jr. bulldozed through the defensive line for a one yard touchdown with 4:27 left in the half.

The score at the half, 7-6, does not reflect the atmosphere of the stadium.  For the majority of the half, offense for three plays at the one yard line, the stadium was quiet.  The Leathernecks managed to take the wind out of the loudest crowd of the day by scoring on a one yard pass on 4th and 1 to silence the crowd at the end of the first quarter.

Gopher head coach, Jerry Kill, was carried off the sidelines at halftime.  His condition is still unknown.  We will keep you updated.  In the meant time enjoy the photos from the first half.
