Freshman Andrianna Jacobs, Rochester Century, is now the Minn. AA and All-Time record holder for the pole vault with a height of 13-00.  Jacobs came into the State Tournament with a 11 feet 9 inches–three inches better than the 2012 AA Champion.

After already having a better score than the last years’ champion, Jacobs would go on to attempt to break the MN All-Time Record of 12-09.  The bar was raised to 12-09.75.  Jacobs cleared the bar with room to spare breaking the MN All-Time (for the first time).

Jacobs had the bar raised to 13-00.  Once again, Jacobs broke her own MN All-Time record.  Before her next height, there was a discussion with officials, judges, and Jacobs about which height to raise the bar too.  The height was determined at 13-04.25.  This height would have broken the unofficial record of 13-04.00 for any Minn. high school height (non State Tournament).

Jacobs’ first attempts did not go over the bar.  She pulled back.  Her last attempt at 13-04.25 was unsuccessful.  None-the-less, Jacobs now holds the official Girls AA & MN All-Time record with a height of 13-00.
