The Chaska Hawks neutralize the Farmington Tigers to claim lead in Missota Conference

The Chaska Hawks played Homecoming Host to the Farmington Tigers.  It was one of the most anticipated games of the week drawing a WCCO truck to cover the game.  It was a perfect September 27, 2013 evening as the two teams warmed up on the field.

Coming into the game both teams had an undefeated record of 4-0 and were battling for sole lead of the Missota Conference.

Chaska scored almost at will during the first half, amassing a 35-0 halftime lead.  They made plays on the ground including their first touchdown of the night, a 77 yard run by Justin Arnold.

They made plays through the air including quite possibly the best thrown long-ball I have seen this year, a pass from Arnold to Calvin Buesgens in the second quarter, the duo teamed up for two more touchdowns in the third quarter.

The final score was 56-7 and Farmington’s score came in the fourth quarter with five minutes and change left in the game.

Chaska will host the Academy of Holy Angels Stars next week while the Farmington Tigers will travel to Chanhassen, both games will be Missota Conference games.
