Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota was the place to be on Father’s day.  There were pony rides, face painting and a petting zoo (not to mention one of the biggest jungle gym’s around) were there to keep the kids occupied while and afternoon of horseracing was enjoyed by kid and adult alike.

Canterbury Park is a place great family hangout where kids under 18 are free and adult admission is only $5.00.  There are a ton of great promotional days to enjoy including Extreme Race Day (camels and ostrich racing) and the annual wiener dog race.  Additionally on Sundays the final race of the day is the Kids Clomp/Toddler Trot, where kids can race the track to burn off steam at the end of the day.
