Minnesota’s Ryan Dungey partnering with Target and St. Jude to help find a cure in 60 mile MN Major.

Supercross superstar Ryan Dungey is teaming up with Target to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Sunday July 28, 2013.  The Minnesota Major River-to-River Ride will take participants along both the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers in either a 62 mile (100 kilometer) or 20 mile rides with 100% of donations and registration fees going to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dungey lost his grandmother to cancer and has been heavily involved with cancer research in honor of his grandmother.  The Minnesota Major ride is an event that encourages participants to go out and push themselves over a 100 km (60 mile) one day biking event with the added bonus of funding cancer research.  Both rides will start and end at the Afton Apple Orchard near the St. Croix River.  The registration fee for the race is $50 all registration fees and donations go to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

If you or someone you know might be interested in this event more information can be found at www.mnmajor.com.

Dungey was born in Belle Plaine, Minnesota and has taken the motocross world by storm since his professional debut in 2006 and has trained with one of the industry’s best, Ricky Carmichael.  Ryan Dungey is currently in second place in the 2013 AMA Pro Motocross 450 Class Championship standings.
