First ever Running with the Bulldogs promotion at Canterbury Park draws largest crowd of the year

Family day at Canterbury Park is a treat for kids every week.  The face painting, pony rides and Kid’s Klomp at the end of the day (where the kids in attendance get to run on the same track as the horses) are always a treat.

The second annual Dark Star Classic commemorating the long-time Canterbury Park fixture, Dark Star, who passed away two years ago. He paid a visit the winner’s circle when track announcer Paul Allen brought his picture, which sits in his spot on the couch in the press box, to the winner’s circle to present the prize to the winner.

On Father’s Day 2014 Canterbury Park added a couple dozen bulldogs to the mix and watched the smiles and laughs increase.

Looking for the next crazy day at Canterbury Park?  Here are a couple up and coming promotions.
