Eden Prairie boys best Edina in lacrosse Section 2AA Championship

The Eden Prairie Eagles met the Edina Hornets in the boys Section 2AA championship game last Wednesday night, June 4, 2014, at Armstrong high school.

The heavily favored Eagles scored early and often in the first quarter, leaving the Hornets breathless and seemingly on the verge of throwing in the towel. Fortunately, as the second quarter got underway, so did the Hornets. Although they fought back strongly, they were simply no match for an aggressive Eagles offence and a virtually impenetrable defense.

Eden Prairie finished the game 14-9 with Eagles Junior, Sean Patterson scoring five goals, and the team winning the Section 2AA Championship for the Eagles.

Eden Prairie next plays White Bear Lake in the State High School Playoffs at Chaska High School on Tuesday, June 10th at 3.00 pm.

Postseason play begins at Chaska HS at 1.00 pm when Wayzata takes on Champlin Park.
