Jeremy Martin returned home, to the track his parents own, to increase his lead in the 250 class standings. Heading into the July 19 races at the Spring Creek, Martin had 294 points. After placing first and second in the two 250 races, accumulating 47 points, Martin extends his lead over Blake Baggett and sits atop all 250 racers for the year with 341 points.
Martin, who grew up at the track, said that the 2014 Spring Creek National was the first time that Martin had driven up Mount St. Martins, he also said that the track has changed greatly from his childhood.
With the win at the 2014 Spring Creek National, Martin has opened up a 43 point lead on Christopher Webb who, after the rough outing by Blake Baggett, has moved up to second place in the standings.
