The player of the game was Maya Moore, who scored 30 points, making it her fourth consecutive 30+ point game. Lindsay Whalen added 21 points and four assists. Seimone Augustus rounded out the top three scorers for the Lynx with 18 points. Janel McCarville snagged five rebounds and dished out six assists. Rookie Damiris Dantas played 34 minutes and grabbed eight defensive rebounds.
Aside from the stats, Lynx fans got nervous in the second half as the Liberty actually led for portions of the second half. With less than 20 seconds left in the game the Lynx were ahead by three. The Lynx held on for the win, sinking critical foul shots toward the end.
In the second quarter, Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus collided, sending both players to the floor holding their heads. Both players did not play at the start of the second half, and Moore emerged with an open, bleeding wound above her eye. Both players appeared to be fine at the end of the game. With the win the Lynx improve to 4-0 on the year. The Lynx will face the Chicago Sky (4-0) for bragging rights as the last undefeated team in the WNBA tomorrow in Chicago.
