Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore awarded 2014 WNBA Most Valuable Player

In the 2014 WNBA season Maya Moore won three out of the four possible WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month awards, averaging 23.9 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game and 3.4 assists per game.  Moore averaged almost 35 minutes of play per game and led the Lynx to their fourth consecutive playoff appearance.  Moore extended her streak of consecutive games played to 136.

Minutes after accepting the trophy, Moore joined her teammates as they prepared to face the San Antonio Stars in game one of the 2014 WNBA playoffs.  Stay tuned to The Minnesota Sports Report for photos and updates from the game.
