The Minnesota Lynx return to the Target Center tomorrow, May 24, 2014 looking to keep their current unbeaten streak (3-0 in2014) alive against the New York Liberty. The Lynx have not lost since September 12, 2014. The Lynx have only lost one game since August August 23, 2013 and have a record of 18-1 in that time.
The Lynx are led by a foursome of captains, three of whom will be playing as Rebekkah Brunson underwent knee surgery on May 13 an Is not expected to return until the All-Star break. The captains that will be playing are Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen. They will likely be joined on the court by Damiris Dantas, a Brazilian rookie who leads the league in field goal accuracy with 75%, and Janel McCarville.
Minnesota forward Maya Moore is on fire, picking up right where she left off last season, leading the team in points (105), rebounds (34), steals (8) and has two blocks on the season. Moore is solidly in first place in the WNBA with 35 points per game, Atlanta’s Angel McCoughtry is in second place with 24 points per game.
The Lynx play the Liberty tonight (May 24) at 7:00 then will travel to Chicago and face the Sky tomorrow and will return to Target Center for the first of two games (home and home series) against the San Antonio Stars on Friday May 30.
