The Panthers pounced first when Henry Enebak scores at the 7:45 point of the first period. Eden Prairie, to that point, was not in the game and for the remainder of the period, the Eagles struggled to keep the Panthers at bay.

The two power play goals were the difference in the game. The Eagles actually had four power play opportunities and capitalized on none of them while Panthers scored twice on three opportunities.
The Panthers scored four goals in the third period. The second of their power play goals and two even strength goals before putting an empty net goal in with less than a minute left in the period.
