Minnesota Swarm falls to Buffalo Bandits

The Minnesota Swarm (5-10) hosted the Buffalo Bandits (8-7) on April 11, 2015 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Bandits came to Minnesota looking for a sweep of the five game season series with the Swarm, having won both of the previous meetings between the teams.

Minnesota forgot to show up for the first eight minutes of the game, giving up five unanswered goals to start the game off 5-0. The Shayne Jackson show started at 9:09 in the first quarter when Jackson scored the first of his five goals of the game.  Jackson is quietly becoming one of the Swarm’s leaders and has 27 goals and 37 assists, his best scoring season of his career.

Jordan MacIntosh left the game with a twisted ankle and did not return in the game. It is unclear how long the assistant captain will miss with the injury.

The Minnesota Swarm lost to the Buffalo Bandits 12-9 in the end despite outshooting the Bandits 55-41.

The Swarm have three more games left in the 2015 NLL regular season, all of them at home, each of the next three Saturdays. The Swarm is ½ games behind the New England Black Wolves (4-8) for the final playoff spot so they will need some help as well as to win out.
